October 2004

Greetings from New Mexico

Fall is in the air and the smell of roasting green chile is a recent memory here in the Land of Enchantment. The world series and football is everywhere on the television, interspersed with too many political commercials as we wind down to election day. But the clock is also running toward the holidays. And for the big December celebration, we have some news and some great gift ideas. So let’s get started.

Little Lady: Every year Lladro offers a special fall sculpture. This year it’s Little Lady. This sculpture is available only from October 15 through December 15 and in limited supply. Little Lady is cute as a button and an exceptional value at only $195.00. Because of the short period of availability, Little Lady is self-limiting in numbers. To make it better, order from us quickly and we will include a bell or ball from the special Bells and Balls collection (they sell for $30.00 and are a great buy by themselves) or a scented candle from the Lladro Home Fragrances collection (normally $35.00). You can see Little Lady here:

The Bells and Balls Collection: At the same location linked above, you can view this entire collection. Each Bell and Ball is $30.00. Since we are offering a free bell or ball with each order of $200.00 or more, order the entire set of seven and we’ll discount your purchase to $180.00. In other words, we are reducing the gift with purchase amount when you buy the entire set. But hurry, this is only while supplies last. Need the link again? Here it is:

The Lladro Home Fragrances Collection: A garden in spring, a stroll by the sea, an exotic journey...the scents of Home Fragrances by Lladro evoke past experiences and dreamed of moments. Elaborated from selected essences, once these scented candles are lit, they give off subtle yet penetrating fragrance for up to 50 hours. Celestial Journey - A delightful blend of wood and spices. Gardens of Valencia - Orange blossom enriched by jasmine. Mediterranean Beach - Fond memories of summer at the seaside. A Mother's Embrace - Creamy smoothness enhanced by pear blossom. Oriental Grace - Sensual fusion of amber and hot spices. And Flowers of Peace - Bouquet of freshly cut flowers.

These Home Fragrances can be ordered at the same location. Or get yours as a gift with purchase as long as supplies last. And it’s the same link to find out more:

Secret Opportunity just for our mailing list customers: Through good fortune, we are able to provide many retired pieces and sold out limited editions at the last retail price. Unfortunately, we cannot publish the list. But we can tell you that there are 288 pieces on it. The retirement dates go back as far as 1994 and include such pieces as Sunday’s Child (Boy), A Heavenly Christmas (Limited Edition), Dear Santa, General Practitioner, older bells and balls (how about a 1988 Christmas Bell?), Christmas pieces, professions, eggs, circus and on and on. Here’s the deal. Call the gallery ready to buy if we can provide the piece. We will take your order and advise you if it is on our list. Then we will confirm availability and enter the order. At that time, we will charge your credit card. If for some reason the purchase cannot be completed, we will promptly credit your account.

Why do we have to go through this roundabout procedure? Simply because these supplies are limited and we might get there too late. In other words, if the sculpture you want is out the door before we get in the queue, there isn’t any additional stock.

So why should you try this? Because you can get otherwise unavailable sculptures without paying inflated prices on the secondary market. It’s a good deal if we can find a match for you. Besides, the phone call is free:

Nambe: You’re thinking "I though this was a Lladro newsletter." But actually Andrews Gallery carries more than Lladro. One of the products we carry is Nambe – a unique product of New Mexico. Originally, Nambe was the name associated with a seven alloy metal that has fantastic heat (and cold) retention properties. But it is also exceptionally attractive for tableware, vases, candlesticks and so forth. The Nambe foundry is located close to our store and is truly a product of the Land of Enchantment.

In recent years, the Nambe Company has expanded its line with the addition of crystal, porcelain and stainless steel flatware. The result is a blending of design across various media that permits setting a fully integrated elegant table. Nambe is a great choice for weddings, for you, or for that someone special. Also, a small piece of Nambe is perfect for those gifts where you want an elegant present without breaking the bank. Here’s the link for Nambe. Give it a look:

Finally, don’t forget the annual Lladro Bell or Ball. Great presents and an essential for the collector. As a reminder, here’s the link: http://andrewsgallery.com/bellsballs.htm Shop early and avoid the Holiday rush. Give us a call about the retired or sold out piece you’re looking for. And don't forget the gift with purchase promotion. Also, we take layaways and can schedule a delayed delivery if needed.  Till next time...
