| July 2006 |
Greetings from New Mexico We have lots of news, so it's time for another newsletter. We have four topics to cover: fall 06 new issues from Lladro, 06 Lladro retirements, our new Blog and our "Will you still love me?" summer sale. Let's get started. The 2006 Lladro Christmas Bells and Ball are available. This year, they come in both glazed and matte finishes. For those of you that have long time collection, the finish you want is matte - indicated by a "1" starting the stock number. We always encourage customers to order early (like now) so that you are not in a last minute scramble to find the bell or ball for that traditional present for that someone special. You can find the bells and balls here: http://andrewsgallery.com/lladrointroductions.htm or http://andrewsgalleryii.com/lladrointroductions.htm These links will take you to the new issues. Among them is the Sea Winds collection centered around the Americas' Cup. The center piece is a beautiful limited edition linked to the Lladro official partnership with the China Team. The artists found their inspiration on the boat's sails, the compass card and the sea waves. The collection also includes a pencil holder, coffee mug, two bud vases, a pendant necklace, cufflinks, and a key fob. Another important collection is entitled Family Days. These pieces are dedicated to His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, conceived to mark his visit to Valencia in July 2006 during the 5th World Meetings of Families. The collection includes liturgical objects that Lladro donated for the Mass at the 5th WMF as well as a pendant cross and a rosary. The indications that we have received is that these pieces will be available later. If you want to be on our waiting list for when they become available, please contact us soonest. Right now, our account shows them on backorder. Lladro has also created a sculpture of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI. It is included in the new issue listings. Another new series is the Harmony of Life collection which renders the harmony between man and nature. There are two new limited editions in the collection as well as six in the open series. If you want to collect the entire series, we suggest you start with 11912 - Irresistible Attraction and 11913 - The Flow of Life. These sculptures are the limited editions and, looking at the artistic composition, are sure to sell out quickly. The rest of the new issues include other Christmas pieces, three Japanese sculptures of geishas playing traditional Japanese instruments, new angels, and a new rendition of Christus. Of particular note is 13040 - a beautiful mural of the Holy Family. Your best bet it to visit our sites and view them for yourself. Again, the links are: http://andrewsgallery.com/lladrointroductions.htm or http://andrewsgalleryii.com/lladrointroductions.htm Next, Lladro has announced the 2006 sculptures scheduled to be retired at the end of the year. The pieces include a Nativity set, the Japanese piece Michiko, three Pierrots and a clown, children in a four seasons set, two ballerinas, four bells, six students and Orca. If you have been building a collection over the years (such as the Nativity), please check out the retirement listings now so that 2007 doesn't leave you without the set completing piece. You can see the 2006 retirements here: http://andrewsgallery.com/06retireframes.htm If you want a printed list of the retirements, you can find one at our new blog for Lladro and Nambe. This is a new endeavor for us and the blog is evolving. It is intended to be a place for Lladro and Nambe devotees to interact as well as provide a quicker vehicle for distributing Lladro and Nambe news. Once it is fully set up (hopefully very quickly) it will be easier to manage the flow if information and allow for interactivity with you. You can get to the blog here: http://www.lobobear.com So what about this "Will you still love me?" special? Maria and I were married in 1964 - August 5th to be exact. At the time or shortly there after, Paul McCartney's ditty asking Will you still love me when were 64 was out. We used to sing along and found it difficult that we would find ourselves reaching that milestone (only for me, of course, since Maria will be turning 39 again). So here's the deal. Place your order between now and 29 July 2006 (my birthday) and receive 20 percent off your Andrews Gallery order. To receive your discount, use the code "summer special" without the quotes in the discount code box at checkout. Also, you can see our summer specials at these locations: http://andrewsgallery.com/Specials1.htm http://andrewsgalleryii.com/Specials1.htm (Lladro only) http://marialuna.com/specials.htm (Nambe only) A last, almost forgot, item. The 2006 edition of the official Lladro Reference Guide is due out at the end of July. If you order the 2004 guide at our sites, it will be filled with the 2006 edition (expected momentarily). The price in the US is $25.00 delivered. That's all for this news letter. Check out the new issues, the retirements, our new blog, and don't forget the special discount code: summer special. Well that's it for this newsletter. So 'til next time enjoy the summer and start planning for the holidays. |
